Sashiko Workshop. The Art of Beautiful Mending.

Sashiko is a Japanese stitching tradition with centuries of history behind it, originally used to strengthen and repair worn cloth, it transforms the act of mending into something quietly extraordinary. Geometric, rhythmic and deeply satisfying, every stitch follows a structure that has been passed down through generations of makers.

In this workshop you will learn the foundation stitches of sashiko, work through a traditional pattern and discover how this beautiful technique can be used to mend the things you love visibly, proudly and with real skill. A worn elbow, fraying hem, torn jeans or a decorative patch, all of it becomes an opportunity rather than a problem.

This is structured, guided stitching with a clear pattern to follow and a finished piece to take home. By the end of the session you will have the knowledge and confidence to start mending anything.
